Personalised, Drug-Free Chiropractic Care

Kings Park Chiropractic provides chiropractic assessment and treatment for pain and movement problems affecting the spine, joints, and muscles. Every patient is seen personally by Dr. Brian Sin.

Care is drug-free and tailored to the person in front of us — the plan is built after a proper assessment, not applied the same way to everyone who walks in.

The Basics

What Is Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic care is a hands-on approach to assessing and treating problems with the spine, joints, and nervous system. Rather than masking pain with medication, a chiropractor examines how the body moves, identifies which structure is causing the problem, and treats it directly — most commonly through a chiropractic adjustment.

A typical plan starts with an assessment, followed by a short course of treatment to address the immediate problem, then a review to check progress. A common misconception is that chiropractic care means ongoing, indefinite visits — in reality, how long you need treatment depends entirely on your condition, and Dr. Brian will tell you when you’re ready to finish up.

What Is a Chiropractic Adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment is a controlled, precise pressure applied to a joint — usually in the spine — to restore normal movement where it has become restricted. This can ease pain, reduce nerve irritation, and improve range of motion. The audible “crack” some people hear is simply gas releasing from the joint fluid — it is not a sign of anything breaking or moving out of place.

A common misconception is that an adjustment “puts a bone back into place.” In reality, your vertebrae aren’t out of alignment in the way that’s often assumed — an adjustment restores movement to a joint that has become restricted or irritated, which is what relieves the associated pain and muscle tension.

Why Patients Choose This

Benefits of Chiropractic Care

Pain relief without medication — treatment targets the source of pain rather than masking it with drugs.
Improved movement — restoring joint mobility helps you move more freely and comfortably.
A plan built for you — treatment is based on your assessment, not a one-size-fits-all routine.
Works alongside other care — chiropractic can complement, rather than replace, treatment from your GP or physio.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Most patients feel little to no discomfort. You may notice mild soreness afterwards, similar to how muscles feel after light exercise, which usually settles within a day.
It depends on your condition and how long you’ve had it. Dr. Brian will give you an honest estimate after your first assessment — see Your Care Plan Explained for more detail.
No. Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners, so you can book directly. A GP referral is only needed if you’re claiming under a Medicare EPC plan or Workers’ Compensation.
We treat patients of all ages, from newborns through to seniors. Techniques are adjusted for age, size, and health — a paediatric adjustment uses far less force than an adult one. See Paediatric Chiropractic for details.
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best so Dr. Brian can assess how you move. You don’t need to change into anything special — activewear or casual clothes are fine.
In many cases, yes. Dr. Brian will review your surgical history first and may liaise with your surgeon before starting treatment, to make sure care is appropriate for your specific case.
Both are evidence-based and often complement each other — chiropractic focuses more on joint assessment and manual adjustment, while physiotherapy often emphasises rehabilitation exercise. See Chiropractic vs Physiotherapy for a full comparison.
